On May 21st, the Ningbo Meeting of China-CEEC Business Council was held in Ningbo hosted by the Chinese Secretariat of the China-CEEC Business Council under the theme “Innovation-Driven Development for Win-Win Cooperation.” It brought together more than 380 participants, including governmental representatives, enterpreneurs, experts and scholars. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of CCPIT and CCOIC, Ye Miao, Vice Mayor of the People’s Government of Ningbo Municipality. Stasa Kosarac, Deputy Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Atanas Zafirov, Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Jagoda Lazarevic, President’s Special Envoy and Minister of Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Simonak, State Secretary of Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Matevz Frangez, State Secretary of Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia attended the opening ceremony. Chen Jianzhong, Chairman of CCPIT and CCOIC Zhejiang presided over the meeting. During the event, the China-CEEC Business Council Exchange Conference & Annual Meeting of the Chinese Committee of the Council, as well as the China-CEEC Business Council Economic and Trade Matchmaking Meeting, were also held. The China-CEEC Business Council is pivotal part of the China-CEEC Cooperation Framework. lt was established as a non-profit mechanism jointly initiated by China and Poland in accordance with the Bucharest Guidelines for Cooperation Between China and Central and Eastern European Countries issued in 2013, and has welcomed the voluntary participation of chambers of commerce and trade and investment promotion agencies from other Central and Eastern European countries. Currently, the business council consists of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and 17 chambers of commerce and trade and investment promotion agencies from 13 Central and Eastern European countries. |
