Established in 1993, National Hangzhou Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Area has an area of 76.94 square kilometers and a population over 300,000. It has national enterprise incubators, provincial high-tech industrial park, the only high-tech biomedical industrial park and the first intelligent manufacturing demonstration base in the province.

After more than 20 years’ development, the development area has gathered two leading industries with high-end equipment manufacturing and biological economy. It has cultivated a number of leading enterprises in the industry, such as ROBAM, Betta Pharmaceuticals, CFMOTO, XIO LIFT, Nabel Ceramics, Donghua Chain Group and Minsheng Pharmaceuticals, etc., with a total scale of more than 300 enterprises, more than 323 national high-tech enterprises, 14 listed enterprises, and more than 920 introduced high-level talents. In 2020, the development area has realized 81 billion RMB of industrial output value and 5.5billion RMB of fiscal revenue. The comprehensive strength has been steadily improved year by year, becoming an important growth pole of industrial economy in Linping District, Hangzhou and Zhejiang.
