CCPIT Zhejiang strengthens cooperation with Tanzania

On March 21, CCPIT Zhejiang hosted the “Zhejiang Enterprises Going Global” – Tanzania Trade and Investment Promotion Conference in Hangzhou.Ms. Judith Salvio Kapinga, Minister for Industry and Trade of Tanzania and Mr. Chen Jianzhong, Chairman of CCPIT Zhejiang attended and addressed the conference. About 100 enterpreneur in the provice attended the event .
Mr. Chen Jianzhong noted in his speech that Zhejiang province and Tanzania have established solid foundation for cooperation, reaching fruitful outcomes in trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges. It is hoped that this event would serve as a platform to further strengthen bilateral trade and industrial collaboration. CCPIT Zhejiang and CCOIC Zhejiang is committed to providing tailored support and services to enterprises in need to facilitate bilateral economic and trade cooperation to new heights. Minister Kapinga had a brief introduction about Tanzania’s key advantages, including stable political environment and abundant labor resources, making it an ideal destination for Chinese investors to land their investments. She called for in-depth cooperation in such sectors as the joint construction of industrial parks, manufacturing, mineral processing, agriculture, logistics and maritime services, etc. to further enhance comprehensive cooperation. Representatives from Tanzania’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT), Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), Tanzania Investment and Special Zones Authority (TISEZA), and the Kwala Industry Park promoted investment opportunities and the park. During the Q&A session, Zhejiang companies showed strong interest in doing business in Africa and some experssed their plan to go Tanzania for further market study. |
