From October 20th to 22nd, Chen Jianzhong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhejiang Provincial Committee, visited Zhoushan to attend the 8th Oil Traders Conference and the 2025 Free Trade Port (Zone) International Maritime Law Conference, and conducted on-site coporate research visits at key foreign trade and economic enterprises in Zhoushan.
Oil Traders Conference Venue (Picture) On the morning of October 22nd, the plenary session of the 8th Oil Traders Conference was grandly held at the Zhoushan International Conference Center, themed “Deepening Open Cooperation, Jointly Building a Green, Low-Carbon, and Sustainable Bulk Commodity Market”. Vice Governor Hu Wei, He Zhongwei, Secretary of the Zhoushan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the New Area Party Working Committee, and Li Yunpeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, delivered opening speeches. Xu Renbiao, Deputy Secretary of the Zhoushan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, presided. This conference had 366 domestic and international enterprises participating, including 112 foreign enterprises and 254 domestic enterprises, with 120 high-level guests.
Chen Jianzhong Attends the 8th Oil Traders Conference (Picture) At the conference, the All-Industry Alliance for the Bulk Commodity Resource Allocation Hub of the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone was inaugurated. The conference also held the establishment ceremony for the China Green Ship Repair International Certification Innovation Alliance, as well as the unveiling ceremony for the Zhejiang Ocean University International Bulk Commodity College, releasing the “Zhoushan Declaration on Green Ship Fuel Development (2025)”. Twenty-one projects were signed on-site, with a total agreement value of approximately 64.36 billion RMB.
International Maritime Law Conference Venue (Picture) As one of the key supporting events of the 8th Oil Traders Conference, the 2025 Free Trade Port (Zone) International Maritime Law Conference was successfully held on the morning of October 21st. This conference, themed “Integration of Law and Business to Facilitate the Construction of the Bulk Commodity Resource Allocation Hub”, was hosted by the Zhoushan Administrative Committee of the Zhejiang Pilot Free Trade Zone and organized by the CCPIT Zhoushan Committee and the Zhoushan International Chamber of Commerce. Chen Jianzhong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the CCPIT Zhejiang Provincial Committee, and Liang Xuedong, Deputy Secretary of the Zhoushan Municipal Party Committee and Full-time Deputy Secretary of the New Area Party Working Committee, attended and delivered speeches. Nearly 300 participants from domestic and foreign government agencies, international organizations, the CCPIT system, industry associations, universities, law firms, as well as shipping, logistics, and shipbuilding enterprises attended the meeting. Chen Jianzhong Delivers Speech (Picture) Chen Jianzhong stated that in recent years, CCPIT Zhejiang has continuously deepened its efforts in foreign-related maritime and commercial legal services, promoted resource integration, forwarded deployment of services, and improved service quality, continuously transforming the synergy of legal safeguards into the soft power of optimizing the business environment, as well as actively serving the construction of Zhejiang as a high-level open and strong province. In the next step, CCPIT Zhejiang will continue to leverage its functions of connecting government and enterprises, integrating domestic and international resources, as well as smoothing supply and demand. It will continue to support the innovative development of the Zhoushan Pilot Free Trade Zone and provide higher-quality resource matching and legal services for building the bulk commodity resource allocation hub. At the conference, the CCPIT Zhoushan Committee signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Hong Kong Maritime Arbitration Association and released the “Guidelines for Diversified Resolution and Rapid Arbitration of Disputes in Bonded Ship Fuel Supply in the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone” and the “Zhoushan Guidelines for Risk Prevention in Foreign Trade Contracts”. During this period, Chen Jianzhong and his delegation also conducted on-site research at Zhejiang Liming Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Sensen Group Co., Ltd., engaging in face-to-face communication with enterprise leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the enterprises’ product development, market expansion, technological innovation, and related needs and requests. Chen Jianzhong fully acknowledged the development and achievements of the enterprises. He stated that CCPIT Zhejiang would utilize its unique advantages to continuously integrate domestic and international resources and build platforms of exchange and cooperation for enterprises engaged in international trade. Meanwhile, in response to issues raised by enterprises such as increasing trade barriers and export obstacles, CCPIT Zhejiang, in coordination with the municipal CCPIT branches, will actively organize enterprises to participate in key domestic and international exhibitions, help businesses effectively address international trade disputes, and fully support the high-quality global expansion of enterprises.
